Our business is led by Tshepo Matseba APR*, a seasoned strategist in reputation management, communication and marketing. He is the former President of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA). Tshepo was the Head of Marketing and Communication at Old Mutual Insure and earlier on at Liberty. Prior to this, he was the Head of Marketing & Communication at Discovery.
Tshepo holds a number of roles, notably, Business Journalist at Afropolitan Magazine, Senior
Business Writer at BizNisAfrica.com, and Financial & Business Contributor for kayafm.co.za. He is the former Corporate Reputation Strategist at M&C Saatchi Abel, an integrated
communication agency founded by Mike Abel, one of South Africa’s leading entrepreneurs in advertising and communication. He was the Business Editor of The Afropolitan magazine, Editor in Chief of The Official NEPAD Yearbook 2018, and Divisional Director: Marketing and Communication at Liberty Corporate. Prior to this, he was the Head of Marketing and Communication at Discovery, where he focused on strategic marketing planning, execution, experiential marketing, leveraging sponsorships, media relations, brand management, and digital communication.
Tshepo has over 17 years expertise across marketing communications, he served in a range of industries including higher education, financial services, telecommunications, and information communication technology (ICT) in Africa and the Middle East for a number of brands including Huawei, Momentum, MTN and UNISA’s Graduate School of Business Leadership.
He holds the APR (Accredited in Public Relations) status, which is internationally recognised in the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia through by the Global Alliance of Public Relations and Communication Management Associations (GA). He is also accredited as MCIPR (Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations), UK.
Tshepo is the chairman of the judging panel for the South African Brand Summit and Awards, and Non-Executive Director at the Institute of People Management (IPM).

Solly Moeng is an experienced holistic Brand Manager and media professional with specialisation in Reputation Management, Strategic Communications, PR and Media Relations.
Also French-speaking, he lived and studied in France (where he obtained a French Master’s Degree) before working in Canada and the US as South African Tourism’s marketing manager and country manager, respectively, managing South Africa’s country image and, while in the US, rolling out SA Tourism’s growth strategy in the US and Canada. He has also worked as Business Development & Marketing Manager of Mesure, a South African facilities management subsidiary of French Multinational Construction company, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Basil Read. This position also enabled him to return to France, where he was based at the company’s vast campus in St-Quentin-en-Yvelines, just outside Paris. He also travelled to Nigeria with the company’s special project negotiating team.
Solly is also an experienced columnist and media commentator, judge in various industry awards, part-time reputation management lecturer at UCT (Media Studies Department) and full-time cyclist when he is not working on his PhD at UCT. The focus of his PhD research is on the political communication around government’s proposed nuclear newbuild procurement process; the relationship between government/political communicators and the media. Solly also
completed the IMM’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing and attended courses at the respected Vega School of Branding.
He loves the cut the thrust of public affairs and thrives on good political and media debates. He has led strategy development processes and provided corporate communications and reputation management advice to a number of local and international brands in retail, oil & gas, nuclear energy, transport, destination management, lifestyle, logistics, etc. He has spoken at industry conferences and seminars in South Africa, Russia, Armenia, Switzerland, and India, where he was also invited as Co-host for the India Brand Summit in late 2016.
Thabo leads our media relations team. He is a seasoned journalist, political analyst, TV Host (GauTV), and Radio Anchor at Power FM. He was a Producer of Today with John Perlman at Kaya FM.
Funanani is an accomplished communicator with experience in the mining and tourism sector having served as Communication Specialist at De Beers, South African National Parks, and TCTA (Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority).
